BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Canby, Minnesota and at a very early age I began drawing. I was influenced by both my father, who is a professional photographer, and my grandfather, who was a gun engraver and a blacksmith. I earned my Associate of Arts Degree from Bethany Lutheran College. Then, I attended and earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Augustana College specializing in Printmaking and a Minor in Anthropology. While at Augustana College, I was the recipient of the prestigious Spitznagel Award in Art. Directly following these achievements, I attended Kansas State University and earned my Master of Fine Arts Degree in Printmaking, the highest degree in studio arts that one can achieve. I started my professional career at Kansas State University teaching figure drawing. I then moved and taught art at Mid Plains Community College in North Platte, NE for three years. I currently reside in Milwaukee, WI with my wife and teach at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
